Knowing My God, Andrew Lamuda Four years ago, I would have never imagined myself being in a place where God is so real and near to me. I grew up in a Buddhist family and I learned how to contact the unknown God (Acts 17:23) and chant certain foreign words over and over again. But, by the Lord's mercy, I heard and believed the gospel of Jesus Christ in 1999. This experience changed my life, and little by little, I learned that the God of the universe who dwells in unapproachable light is now living in my spirit (1 Timothy 6:16; 1 Corinthians 6:17). By the end of my college years, I had a deep desire to know the Lord even more. Then, I decided to come to the Full-Time Training in Anaheim (FTTA). In the FTTA, I am learning to trust in the Lord in whatever situation I am facing. I am realizing that God wants to be the fountain, the source of living water to satisfy me for my enjoyment (John 4:14). He doesn't want me to do anything for Him; neither does He want me to forsake Him to draw from other sources, which will eventually become broken cisterns (Jeremiah 2:13). While in the Training the Lord has also been faithful to enlighten me concerning both who I am and who He is. This has caused me to come before the Lord with desperation and have many transactions with Him. Now, after three terms in the Training, I can truly say that the seed of God's life that I received four years ago is growing everyday, and Christ is making His home in my heart more and more (1 Peter 1:23; Ephesians 3:17).
